Benefits of leadership study
The College is known for its accessible online delivery of academically rigorous, scientifically based, relevant content. Our programs impact the quality of leadership in America by helping leaders reach their fullest potential. Equipping professionals with the tools necessary to be confident, creative, collaborative leaders within their communities is the primary focus of American College of Education’s programs.
Our students will have the added benefits of a carefully guided research experience, the creation of a doctoral dissertation or capstone project, expert instruction about the use of survey tools and data, seminars with pioneers in leadership, a nationwide faculty unconstrained by the limits of a brick-and-mortar campus, and access to a robust library of current research, periodicals, and journals in the field.
Current students hail from a range of backgrounds including principals and content area teachers, a creator of an online high school, a charter school pioneer in working with at-risk youth, leaders with military services background, and leaders from non-profit foundations. All have the desire to lead their organizations or communities forward using ideas from current research and emerging technological tools. Students collaborate to find creative approaches to current issues.
