Description
This 2 year Higher National Diploma (HND) provides a comprehensive overview of Law, and valuable insight into its primary disciplines.
This course is accredited by Edexcel, the leading awarding body in the UK.
During the first year you will cover the processes and people that form the English legal system, alongside key areas of law such as crime and public law. Successful completion of year 1 also gains you a Higher National Certificate (HNC) Law. Year 2 pushes further into legal fields and disciplines. These include land law, tort and convincing. You will also develop more advanced reading, research and communication skills.
Typical career paths include the undertaking of a Law LLB in order to become a Barrister or Solicitor. Other professions available may include Legal Executive or Probation Worker, alongside a wide range of options in the private and public sectors.

Course Content
The 6 modules you will study each deal with a particular topic in detail. Using the knowledge you acquire, you will then undertake a case study or dissertation to complete the course.

Requirements
At least 18 years of age
- 4 GCSEs (including English and Maths) or 120 UCAS points – or equivalent qualification
- Mature students without the above qualifications will be considered after successful completion of the HNC in Law.
- English proficiency – for non-English speaking countries as defined by the UKBA -- IELTS 5.0 or equivalent
